Following the launch of Passport 2.0, opportunities have been identified to enhance the Phorest integration. These improvements aim to:

We propose the introduction of five new features to achieve these goals. All five of these can be considered “low hanging fruit”.

Proposed Features

1. Email Address & Phone Number Bounce Alerts

A visual indicator for any bounced emails or phone numbers will help salons quickly identify and correct invalid emails addresses or phone numbers (see Fig. 1). This feature would be useful for salons and admins trying to understand why clients haven’t yet received an invitation or if their account hasn’t synced correctly with Phorest or SalonIQ.

If the email or phone number is changed in Passport and it starts working again, the Bounced visualisation will be removed.

2. Manual “Sync Emojis” Button

A manual sync button will allow salons to immediately sync customer emojis in Phorest (see Fig. 1) without having to wait for any automated processes.

3. Sync New Appointments on Phorest Integration Activation

Passport currently only pushes emojis statuses into Phorest when an action is taken in Passport e.g. questionnaire taken.

We will improve the integration to now automatically push a user’s latest emoji status when their account is first connected. This will avoid the existing confusion when an account has a “Last Phorest Sync” date, but no emoji status is showing in Phorest.

This will resolve future scenarios such as those faced by Fox Hair Design and Sorella.

4. “Log in as Salon” Feature
